This video presents a visit to the children's ward of a big city hospital, where doctors and nurses care for the physical and emotional well-being of their patients. As an accident victim is flown to the trauma centre by helicopter, viewers see how the medical staff uses X-rays and CAT scans. Special preparations needed for surgery are shown, as well as the duties of a family upon the birth of a new baby.

This British package contains five booklets and a teacher's guide. Two small books describe moving from the family's neighbourhood and building a new house. Two larger books look at different kinds of homes and how the environment influences style and construction. The fifth book, Home and Dry, contains rhymes written from children's perspectives that discuss where they would like to live. The teacher's guide gives brief background information and suggests activities.
