The fine art of joinery is covered as well as shaping by hand and machine. With more illustrations than text, students will be able to see precisely the techniques they are learning. In this Time-Life Series, the basic skills of cabinetmaking are given in clear step-by-step fashion. The text is short and concise and complements the excellent drawings and photographs very well. There is an emphasis on the safe and proper handling of tools to accomplish the jobs described. This would be an excellent series to have for quick reference. For people who want a quick guide to problem solving AutoCAD difficulties, this volume will provide most of the answers. It should ideally be left at a workstation for reference purposes. Each chapter includes several short descriptions of key commands. For example, in the chapter on "drawing aids" there is information on grid, snap, blips and highlight. The illustrations help with gaining confidence in creating two-dimensional drawings. An index is included.
