Selling Science to Students: A Guide to Frontrunners and Innovators in the Schools (Print-Non-Fiction). Science World (APES), (Free of charge)

The rationale for developing the Scientists in the Schools and Innovators in the Schools programs in Canada is to place scientists, engineers and other professionals directly in the classroom. It is believed that students become more interested in science when they have a chance to see a real scientist, engineer, technician or technologist in action. This resource is intended to help facilitate such visits to the schools by giving the presenters information on planning and delivering a presentation and doing follow up. Model lesson plans and speaking notes on Canadian scholarship programs are appended. The material covers K-12 presentations. It is available in French and English.
