Young people talk about what stresses them, where stress comes from, and what helps them deal with stress. The program contains upbeat messages that encourage teens to recognize that they have the ability to deal with the stresses in life.

Young people, ages 14-25 years account for one third of these injuries. The average age of the victims is 18 years, with males twice as likely to be injured as females. Host Amanda Bzdel presents the stories of several people whose lives have been forever altered by careless mistakes, and presents ways in which people, young and old alike, can learn to be more careful. Through re-creations and interviews, Dangerous Games presents the all-too-real drama behind brain and spinal cord injuries. Even before they have figured out how to deal with the opposite sex, one in four teenagers, the majority of them girls, are finding that emotional and physical violence is a dating fact of life. This program asks and answers questions to engage viewers in healthy discussion of dating violence, makes clear the compelling need to teach young people to recognize violence patterns in a dating relationship, and gives them help and support in breaking loose. It notes that adolescents from all walks of life can engage in dating violence, and that girls in a first relationship are apt to interpret extreme possessiveness and even violence as normal signs of love. Interviews with experts and dating violence survivors establish that the central issue of an abusive relationship is power over a victim, and that the most severe injuries and even death occur when the victim tries to end the relationship. This program urges parents and other adults to let teens know about what the dating world is about, that jealousy is not love, nor is hitting permissible. It asks parents to be alert to stereotypes with which a son regards women and to a daughter's giving up too much of her own life to please someone else. Advising that teens need help and support from the adults in their lives, not just their friends, the program asks parents to be prepared to hear what their teens have to say, and listen in a non-judgmental way.
