Fitness testing is a key component of any health-related physical activity program. It establishes a baseline from which students can set goals and check progress. This software program is a very effective way to encourage students to participate in a healthy lifestyle with fitness as a key component. The benefit of this program is its measurement of health-related physical fitness rather than performance or skills. In addition to measurements, it will also recommend for each individual student the activity programs needed to be in the healthy fitness zone. Individualized reports can be printed to provide students with excellent feedback.

This is an excellent resource for teachers who are looking for some variety and quick activities to use in their gym classes. In addition to putting the fun back into any sport, each of the 145 games in this book is an excellent way to help develop fitness, movement and sport-specific skills. The games are grouped into sections such as tag games, individual challenges, fitness activities, striking and fielding games and water games. For each game, all the necessary information is presented in a well-laid-out format. Suitable ages, benefits, number of participants, equipment, safety, procedure and helpful hints are all given. Diagrams and illustrations are used to help create a better understanding of how each game is played.

At the Secondary Level, these games are useful as fitness activities, warm-ups and as a recreational activity to intersperse with a sport unit. Teaching ideas, assessment tips, organization and administration skills are also presented. Photographs, drawings and tables are used throughout the text. An index is provided.
