Ask each group to show its dance composition to the class. Record the compositions on video and have students describe and analyse the compositions, focusing on the elements of dance, the principles of composition, and form. Include discussion of the ways in which the ideas are conveyed in each dance. Ask the students to describe what they were trying to achieve in their compositions. Focus on what worked in each composition and what the class could suggest to improve the compositions. Have the students try some of the suggestions to see if they work. Discuss other problems students would like help in solving. Have the students record the problem-solving process in their dance portfolios and include their own ideas for refinement. |
