Arts Education - Drama
Daily journals are
particularly
effective when working in
dramatic situations. Sometimes
when students aren't voicing
opinions during the drama,
writing will provide them with
the opportunity to express their
ideas. Journals are also an
invaluable tool during
evaluation, whether they are
actually handed in or used as a
reminder during conferences with
the teacher. Guidelines for the
use of journals in drama class
and their role in student
assessment should be established
during the first class of the
year.
