Arts Education - Drama

The teacher is pleased by the quality of work reflected in the students' list. It raises some questions parallel to those raised by a number of historians and commentators about the Columbus landing. Following are a few examples:
  • Why did the dome dwellers think they had a right to benefit from the valley and the valley dwellers?
  • What did the valley dwellers think about Lance, the dome dwellers and the events that lead to their exploitation?
  • How did it feel to have their way of life interrupted and destroyed?
  • What of children and other family members who watched their parents etc. being killed and exploited?
  • Did dome dwellers have a right to conquer the valley dwellers?
  • Were the valley dwellers justified in resisting?
