  • understand that visual art is a form of communication and continue to appreciate the importance of non-verbal communication

  • explore the relationships visual art has to the other art forms

  • focus on and complete learning tasks (CEL: IL)

  • The teacher should gather examples of objects which have been discarded by various individuals. Ask the students to draw one of these objects and write a short description of the person who might have owned it. Discuss how items we own, collect and display often reveal who we are, our interests, our culture, etc.
