Philosophy and Rationale

The philosophy of mathematics education in Saskatchewan is embedded in the K-12 program aim and goals of the mathematics curricula and it is closely related to the concept of Core Curriculum based on Directions (1984) and the Goals of Education for Saskatchewan.   It is a philosophy that reflects the importance of student understanding and concept development.
