Sponge Activity
Use a sponge using orange paint on yellow paper. Take a sheet of black construction paper and rip out the centre so that what is remaining can be used as a border. Use the centre piece to make black shadows to be placed on the yellow painted with orange paper. glue your border in place.

Make a witch with a sucker. Add black paper for her dress and hat, and tissue paper for her hair.

Black Cat Activity
Make a beverage that can be enjoyed by the whole class. Each student can cut out a black cat and place it on their blass.

Pin on parts of a face on a large pumpkin taped on the bulletin board. (Pin the tail on the donkey.)
Pumpkin Faces
Have students make two identical pumpkin faces using different colored shapes for eyes, ears, etc. Place one of these on the floor and have each student keep the other. A student then describes the pumpkin he/she has in his/her hand. The class tries to find the matching pumpkin from the ones on the floor.
