The following list of key resources is intended to provide suggestions for teachers in choosing appropriate resources to support the curriculum. It is not a definitive list, nor is it inclusive of all the resources that teachers may need. Additional titles annotated in the Career Guidance for the Middle Level bibliography should also be considered.

decisions, and creating and carrying out action plans. The second,
"Employment Skills", deals with looking for and applying
for jobs, skills and attitudes for success, safety, economic
considerations, how to attain goals, entrepreneurship and money
management. The activities in the student workbook are intended to
reinforce ideas presented in the book. It is a good general resource.

This workbook includes a questionnaire
of 138 questions that matches student interests and abilities to
college and university programs. It also divides post-secondary
programs and their general admission requirements into 13 categories
for easy reference. The student workbook section provides the
opportunity for students to record their research and plan their high
school program.

Each portfolio consists of three
folders, focusing respectively on academic skills, teamwork skills
and personal management skills. Students compile information about
their employability skills. The user's guide provides instructions on
how to use the folders, and the documentation log allows for quick
reference to important information.

This resource gives suggestions for
assessing gender bias and promoting inclusive language in the
classroom. Lesson plans are included that incorporate concepts from
various curricula which project strong, positive images of women. It
not only offers activities for students regarding gender issues, but
addresses teachers' instructional methods and unconscious biases. It
is an excellent resource.

that promotes in-depth self-examination for students. It contains
American content and measurements.

scenarios to help students understand the various transitions
