        Game Rules for Pig-Out 2

How do you win?
The first player to have a game score of 400 or more points wins the game.

Who plays and who has the first turn?
Two or more players play the game. Each rolls a pair of dice. The player with the highest total goes first. The player to the left goes next.

How do you take your turn?
First, roll the dice.

  • If neither die is a 6, total the dice. We call this total, spots. Pick a card from a shuffled deck of cards. If the card is a number between 2 and 10, multiply the spots by the card number and the answer is the new total spots. If the card is an Ace, King, Queen or Jack, you pigged-out, lost your spots and lost your turn. If you did not pig-out, you can either end your turn and let the next person have a turn or you can roll the dice again. Add these spots to the other spots you got on this turn.

  • If a 6 is rolled on one or both dice or if the card you pick is an Ace, King, Queen or Jack, you pigged-out (lost all the spots you earned on that turn). Your turn is over.

  • When your turn is over, your spots are changed to points, and added to the points you had from your other turns. Remember, if you pig-out, you have no spots left, and no points are gained for this turn.

  • You can roll the dice as many times as you want during one turn, as long as you don't pig-out.

What happens when you pig-out?
You pig-out when you roll the dice and get a 6 on one or both dice or if the card you pick is an Ace, King, Queen or Jack. When you pig-out you lose all your spots and your turn is over. Zero points are added to your game score. You never lose points from your game score that you earned on earlier turns when you pig-out.

Remember you can roll the dice as many times as you want for each turn (unless you pig-out). The following shows an example of how to take the turns and keep the score. Other players would have turns between Pat's turns.

Pat's first turn:

  • Rolls a 3 & 4. Totals 7 spots. Picks a 3 from the deck of cards. Totals 21 spots (7x3).

  • Rolls a 1 & 5. Totals 6 spots. Picks a 9 from the deck of cards. Totals 54 spots (6x9) plus the 21 spots from the first roll and now Pat has 75 spots.
  • Pat decides to stop and the 75 spots become 75 points added to the game score.

Pat's game score is now 75 points.

Pat's second turn:

  • Rolls a 1 & 2. Totals 3 spots. Picks a 6 from the deck of cards. Totals 18 spots (3x6).

  • Rolls a 5 & 5. Totals 10 spots. Picks a 7 from the deck of cards. These 70 spots (10x7) are added to the 18 spots from the first roll for a total of 88 spots.
  • Pat decides to stop and the 88 spots become 88 points added to the game score.

Pat's game score is now 163 points (75+88).

Pat's third turn:

  • Rolls a 5 & 2. Totals 7 spots. Picks a 9 from the deck of cards. Totals 63 spots (7x9).

  • Rolls a 3 & 5. Totals 8 spots. Picks a King from the deck of cards. Pat pigs-out (picked a King). All spots for this turn are lost. Pat gets zero points for this turn but does not lose any points from the game score.

Pat's game score remains at 163 points (163+0).
