About InfoTrac and Micromedia CBCA/Repère    

InfoTrac and Micromedia CBCA (Canadian Business and Current Affairs)/Repère databases have been provided free to all Saskatchewan schools by Saskatchewan Libraries.

InfoTrac Searchbank allows you to search electronic databases of more than 2300 full text magazines, journals and reference sources. Indexing is provided for over 4000 resources. Databases include: Academic ASAP, Business Index ASAP, Student Edition (formerly SuperTOM), and the Health Reference Center.

CBCA (Canadian Business and Current Affairs) combines a high quality indexing and abstracting database with direct access to the fulltext content of the articles indexed. With the fulltext of 150 Canadian periodicals, sources of current affairs information, indexing of over 600 periodicals, and eight daily news sources, CBCA Fulltext Reference is the most comprehensive source of Canadian current events information available.

Repère Fulltext offers more than 255,000 references to articles from French-language periodicals published since 1980. With over 500 journals indexed, publications include all of the major Canadian French language titles in addition to articles published in France, Belgium and Switzerland. Repère Fulltext also offers fulltext for 8,600 articles, appearing in approximately 41 Quebec periodicals .

Schools with dial-up service access InfoTrac and CBCA/Repère through the Saskatchewan Education web site.  A password is required for access. Please consult Mary Reddyk, Resource-based Learning Consultant, Instructional Resources Unit, Saskatchewan Education if you are a school library in Saskatchewan that requires InfoTrac and CBCA/Repère  installation and access.  Schools with high speed Internet service (e.g. ISDN, ADSL, and Direct PC) access InfoTrac and CBCA/Repère through the Provincial Libraries.  Please contact the Provincial Library for information and access.
